About Celtic Genealogy
Celtic Genealogy was founded by Una Costello who lives in Ballina, Co. Tipperary. Una began her working life as a primary school teacher after receiving a Bachelor of Education degree from Mary Immaculate College of Education, Limerick in 1984. Since then she has worked for over fifteen years in the e-learning industry and in 2004 became a freelance editor. Una has always had an interest in genealogy and spent many years researching her own family history. Her interest in genealogy led her to complete an MA History of Family at the University of Limerick in September 2017. Her MA thesis was on the farm and domestic servants of Upperchurch DED between 1901 and 1911.
Una is a member of the Killaloe-Ballina Local History Society and the Ormond Historical Society.
